to generate a detailed understanding of the signaling pathways of embryonic development and their biological function during early vertebrate development

The lectures will give an introduction to early zebrafish development and an overview of some of the fundamental questions and problems in developmental molecular cell biology, including signalling pathways, specification of cell fate and the control of cell migration and cell proliferation in developing embryos.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

A preliminary meeting for all optional modules of the master study in molecular biology will be held on October 3, 2016 at 3 pm in lecture hall D at the Technik campus. It is obligatory to attend all three parts (lecture, seminar, course) to pass the module.
