The aim of this course is to gain a better understanding both of the International Law order as it stands as of the European International Law tradition in particular

Within this course renowned academics from Germany, Austria and Italy will treat fundamental areas of the International Law order (in particular the "sources", "human rights protection", "UN law" and "International Criminal Justice"). In this context they will examine up to which extent the German, the Austrian and the Italian International Law tradition have influenced the present International Law order.

Lecture (partly in English) and discussion; assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
