Learning Outcome:

Reaching level C1+ in both listening and speaking.

Listening: understanding a variety of complex texts.

Speaking: promoting the ability to participate actively and effectively in class discussions.

Contents:

A variety of listening materials, for example podcasts, interviews and resports. Topics will include among others current affairs, culture as well as issues selcetd by the students.

Methods:

Interactive approach to teaching and learning promoted by pairwork and group work as well as individual presentations.

Assessment:

Oral and aural final exam.

Literature:

New Oxford English Language Dictionary

positive completion of compulsory modules 5+6
