Knowlegde about contemporary migration in Italy and about analysis of Italian songs discussing this topic. The treated contents are also suitable for school teaching of Italian as a foreign language.

Migration processes are one of today’s most important themes, and Italy has a particularly important role as the host country for many refugees and immigrants arriving over the Mediterranean Sea. At the beginning of the course, we will try to get an overview of these processes. Afterwards will be analyzed and discussed, through papers prepared by the participants, various examples of Italian songs treating current migratory phenomena.
