Expansion and consolidation of specific knowledge in the field of contemporary history by examination of new and uncommon topics, taking into account current tendencies and controversies of research, applying scientific skills (methods and working techniques) and linking with basic content, development of skills for the independent formulation of historical questions.

 

Acquiring profound historical knowledge about the history of migration in the 20th century (escape, expulsion, forced labour, labour migration etc.), critical look at relevant theories and methods, migration and memory, discourses on pluralism and belonging.

Lecture, reading, discussions

Regular attendance, active participation in discussions, required readings, oral presentation, written paper/radio feature.
