Language-specific application and consolidation of the knowledge acquired in the “Introduction to Foreign Language Teaching”.

The content of the course "Introduction to Russian Language Teaching" is guided by the "Introduction to Foreign Language Teaching" and is a language-specific workshop revolving around the following topics: the role of the teacher in communicative Russian language teaching, the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the European Language Portfolio (ELP), the European Portfolio for Student Teachers of Languages (EPOSTL), Austrian curricula and lesson planning, (integrated) skills and competences, media and techniques, multilingualism, interculturalism and motivation in the Russian language classroom.

A requirement for the admission is among other things the parallel registration for this course and for the course "Introduction to Foreign Language Teaching" ("Einführung in die Didaktik des Fremdsprachenunterrichts") (both part of Compulsory Module 1 “Foundations in Modern Language Teaching and Learning”).
