Achieving a high level of media literacy with regard to foreign language teaching; meaningful, practical implementation of traditional and modern, computer-based media; acquiring theoretical background knowledge; practical application of theoretical knowledge (planning a media-based double lesson and presenting it in class);

Nowadays the competent use of various kinds of media forms an integral part of modern language teaching. After a short theoretical input, the students will be acquainted – by means of practical examples – with various ways of applying traditional (visual aids etc.) and modern, computer-based media (webquests, wikis, video-podcasts etc.). After that, the students’ short presentations will take place.

The admission to the course follows the conditions of admission (for information please consult the IMoF website: http://www.uibk.ac.at/imof/lehre.html).

Completion of introductory module of IMoF.

This course is part of IMoF's Middle Module (Mittelmodul). For students of English this course can only be used as an optional course (Wahlfach), and not as an IMoF middle module course.

This seminar is exclusively meant for students studying two foreign languages and functions as a compensation course.
