The course aims at analysing migration in antiquity within a typological framework, taking into consideration as well the political and social measures related to the phenomenon.

The course focuses on specific topics related to the general issue of migration and war. The chronological framework ranges from the Ancient Near East through Late Antiquity.

There will be communications on selected topics to be chosen. A discussion will follow on every talk working out the main aspects and presenting the results in detail.
