Introduction to the basics of the morphology and syntax of Classical Latin. Developing an active vocabulary of the most frequent Latin words.

Latin morphology (declensions, conjugations, etc.), Latin syntax (parts of independent clauses, sentence arrangements).

The structure of the course is built around theoretical blocks, followed by systematic drills of Latin syntax with translation practices from German into Latin.

Written exam (twice). Active and regular participation in classroom work is required for getting a grade.
