The students know the laws applying to school study trips in Austria. They have acquired didactic and methodic knowledge which enables them to design different learning processes during an excursion. The students have read the most important Greek texts about Greek sites and places and are able to prepare them for school. They also obtain basic knowledge about the history and archaeology of the visited sites.

Austrian school law, Didactics and Methodology of study trips, reading important texts about Greek sites and sights (mainly prose authors, e.g. Pausanias, Herodot, Strabon...), basic knowledge of Archaeology and Ancient History.

Introductory lectures, reading of Greek texts, student presentations.

Midterm exam, participation in class, paper presentation and written abstract.

Will be announced in class.

Knowledge of Ancient Greek.
