The students understand the higher mathematics and know to apply the methods of mathematics in order to solve physical and geophysical problems. The students are master of the basic concepts of physics und understand the basic principles of physical thinking.

Force and moment, kinematics, work, energy, dynamics of particle and of system of particles, rigid-body dynamics, mechanics of elastic media, mechanical oscillations and waves, hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, thermal physics, electric currents, electric fields, magnetic fields, electromagnetic radiation, optics.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
