Students will be ablte to:

• define "spatial planning"
• know central goals and principles of Austrian spatial planning
• differentiate the different levels of spatial planning
• name challenges for  spatial planning in Austria and possible solutions to these challanges

The tasks, methods and levels of spatial planning in Austria will form the core of this course. Beside current levels and competencies within Austrias spatial planning system targets, instruments and their evelation will be discussed.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
