Students are able to recognize the most important pathogens of mycoses. They are familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of classic diagnostic methods (cultivation techniques, morphology, histology) and molecular diagnostics.
Living cultures of oportunistic fungi are shown. histological samples are analysed. How to take represantative samples from patients and environment will be demonstrated. Students will plan their experminats and will take samples from volunteers acting as patients as well as fom the environment.
