Hightened  awareness of  gender in the treatment of  traumaticized persons including respective copeing strategies.

Hightened awareness of gender-blindness in the treatment of traumatized persons.

Throughout Europe the abuse of children and disenabled people in homes and psychiatric institutions alike has become a matter of growing  public interest, especially  in recent years. 

So, it is well acknowledged  now that these homes/institutions worked authoritarian  and conducted daily violence   to both, children and disenabled persons.

Bent on my own therapeutical work with traumaticized persons I will therefore introduce different pedagogical concepts of treatment : from Postwar pedagogy to alternative concepts developed in the wake of the student’s movement.

Introduction to the subject; joint reading of theoretical texts; student’s presentation and discussion.
