The students should be able to plan and conduct an empirical study in the field of clinical psychology as well as to present the study in an appropriate way.

In a first part the students will deal with important publications concerning a selected topic in the field of clinical psychology. The focus lies on a critical appraisal of the different research designs and methods as well as the scientific meaning of the different studies. Starting from this, the students will develop own research questions and plan an appropriate study design. The will be the basis for their bachelor thesis.

Introduction and guidance by the lecturer, searching and reading publications, oral presentations, working in small groups, discussions, written contributions.  

 Continuous assessment (participation, presentations, written contributions).
