The students learn basic knowledge in psychological assessment and their theoretical foundations and psychometric properties. They learn a variety of established tests and methods of psychological assessment and their applications and learn to critically evaluate those assessment procedures.

This lecture covers different procedures of psychological assessment including their theoretical foundations, methods, psychometric properties and applications. This includes self- and peerreports, interviews, and objective as well as implicit and projective methods. Students learn to distinguish between concepts such as temperament, attitude, and mood. They furthermore learn these methods in a practical manner and have the opportunity to try them out.
