After participating in this course, you will have acquired a profound understanding of 'worldview' from a psychological perspective. You will know how ideologies and basic beliefs impact upon human action and experience - and thus should be acknowledged in coaching, counselling and therapy settings.

All human beings have implicit basic beliefs. These are rarely reflected upon, but strongly affect ways of thinking, feeling and acting. Examples for such basic beliefs are ideologies, assumptions about cause and effect (as, e.g., just world theory), and the role of the individual in relation to the greater whole. Together we will identify relevant dimensions of worldview. We will investigate varieties of interindividual differences in worldview and correlates withpersonality and experience
