Students will contuct case studys in small-groups and thereby combine practical knowledge with theoretical background. Diagnostic criteria, genesis, and possible forms of treatment of patients with somatoform disorders will be studied.
The focus of the seminar rests on pain disorders and somatoform disorders. Students will learn diagnostic criteria and etiological factors. Furthermore, possible psychotherapeutic treatments will be discussed. Students will deepen their knowledge by autonomously working on a case study in small-groups.
Work in small-groups and plenary, lecture, discussion, written exam.
