In this course, students should learn to critically examine scientific articles on the basis of a topic that truly interests them.

Students will each present a finding that they found fascinating. This fascination should be clearly explained (implications for methods, application?). The finding can be freely chosen from any topic within basic psychological research. Students should provide sufficient information to allow for a subsequent discussion in class (e.g., handout, exercise, discussion questions). Finally, students will develop their own research questions (to be submitted as a short proposal of 3-4 pages by the end of the term).
