Students acquire general knowledge in safe working in a chemical laboratory and in responsible handling of hazardous materials. Students are capable of applying stochiometric calculations and acquire practical laboratory skills in introductory chemical experiments on topics of general chemistry. Students gain interdisciplinary key skills in team work and oral and written communication within the laboratory course in general chemistry.

Rules of conduct for work in a chemical laboratory, safety and hazardous material labeling, precarious experimental work, personal safety equipment, hazardous materials, fire prevention, first aid.
