The student should gain a deeper understanding of the architecture by Clemens Holzmeister. The description and analysis is based on selected examples. The models will be part of the planned retrospective 2018/19.

The seminar is dedicated to the building to architectural models of selected buildings and projects by Clemens Holzmeister. Together with the architect Stephan Schlatter and with advice from the art historian Christoph Hölz the models are built in different techniques, materials and standards. An intensive study of the building structure and the planning and building history precedes the execution.

Christoph Holz explains the importance of the architect and his designs and gives an introduction into the planning and building history of the buildings. Based on the study of the plan material the model will be prepared and discussed. Each group of students determines the proposals how to build the model.

Participants come together in groups of 2-4 people and choose one building out of morae than 700 completed buildings and projects by Holzmeister. After completion, the quality of the model will be discussed by the lecturers.
