Knowledge about central concepts and research findings of modern attachment theory and fathers research (taking into account academic developmental psychology as well as psychoanalytic theories)

The developmental importance of a so-called secure attachment has been well empirically proven and is sometimes even received in an abridged form as a "guarantee" for healthy mental development. But how does a secure or insecure attachment of a child turn out, which factors its development depends on, and what possibilities of early intervention exist in pedagogical fields?

The public call towards more paternal involvement in education has been supported by relevant international findings of fathers’ research over the last two decades. But what exactly characterizes a "good enough fathering" and of what conditions will depend on its success, and what possible effect does this have on the child's development?

This current issues in education and childhood research we want to pursue on academic-based developmental psychology as well as psychoanalytic theories.
