At this level the learner can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance – e.g. personal and family information, shopping, work, immediate environment; he/she can communicate in routine situations of information exchange on familiar and routine matters; he/she can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, education, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Topics:
living in the past, driving; celebration and tradition; working life and retirement; job application; living in everyday life and on holidays
Linguistic Goals:
to talk about memories; to express ones opinion; to comprehend and express information about driving; to talk about celebrations; to express oneself appropriate at an invitation; to talk about work; to describe ways of living; to express ones opinion about media; to understand radio programmes; to cope with simple situations in work life on the phone
Structural Goals:
the use of imparfait und passé composé – to talk about something that happended in the past; comparison of adjectives and relative pronouns - to describe a person and objects; interrogative pronoun and imperative; Futur antérieur – to talk about a finished event in the future
