Students will gain technical and didactical E-learning competence and advisory expertise. Furthermore they will have the proficiency /ability to produce digital and analogue media content.

Part 1 Theory:
Theory classes will be blocked, so that they take place within 5 days. After that students will have the necessary media literacy to use e- learning technologies in learning settings. The course content will include topics like (the usage of) learning management systems, video editing and video production, didactical bases and general conditions of online assisted lectures as well as an introduction to additional web 2.0 tools (e.g. ARSnova, Video-Streaming, e-Assessment tools) that are available at the University of Innsbruck.

Part 2 Practical training:
Students will create a concept for an online assisted lecture and throughout the semester they will assist and support a lecturer. The theory classes will provide students with the necessary knowledge and expertise. Additional to that they will write a learning diary to reflect their experience as e-Tutors and participate in “peer group” settings.

Part 3 colloquium:
In part 3 there will be a colloquium to deepen the students’ scientific knowledge (and improve the overall learning experience) including a final presentation where students will showcase their experience and learning outcome.

Part 1 Theory:
Blocked classes 13.02.2017 – 17.02.2017
Monday 13:00-16:00; Tuesday-Thursday 09:00-16:00; Friday 09:00-12:00

Part 2 Practical training:
Tutoring and support of a lecture during the actual semester as an e-Tutor. Dates will be arranged with the lecturer. During that time period students are required to write a portfolio as reflection of the tutoring process, as well as a general documentary of their work process.

Blended Learning: Combination of classroom training (face-2-face), selfstudy units, colloquium and practical training.
