Acquaintance with and critical assessment of important contemporary positions in the philosophy of religion.

Introduction to contemporary debates in the philosophy of religion beyond philosophical theology in the narrower sense, e.g. about the status of religious convictions, the relevance of religious experience, the problem of evil and the place of philosophy of religion within systematic philosophy.

Lecture inputs and discussion.

Written exam.

Will be presented in the first lesson.

For Bachelor's Programme in  Philosophy at the Catholic Theology Faculty (C 033 194): positive completion of compulsory module 3.
