summer semester 2017 | Last update: 11.04.2022 | Place course on memo listStudents know the basics and the most important features of labour and social law in the three states Italy, Austria and Germany (and potentially in other EU member states). They can highlight differences and similarities in a comparative perspective and analyse the effectiveness of labour and social law measures on national labour markets.
The seminar will present and analyse the regulatory basics of fundamental labour and social law issues in Italy, Austria and Germany (and potentially in other EU member states) in a comparative way (e.g. the notion of subordination, the employment services, health and safety at work, the protection against unfair dismissals, fixed-term contracts, etc.). Afterwards, the seminar is intended to address questions and problems students encounter in their own thesis research projects.
