We examine behavior in markets using experiments and real world examples in both competitive markets and markets with imperfect competition. We will explore cases where (and why) standard theoretical models in economics are (or are not) supported bye empirical evidence.
Topics will include: behavior in oligopoly markets, evidence of collusion, auctions, and online marketplaces, among others.
