Linkage of different management perspectives and theories by using case studies; work on and reflection of specific cross-sectional topics; implementation of theories on practical management problems; highlighting the limits of theories; facilitation of problem-oriented thinking; acquisition of problem-solving and action competencies; triggering active learning and holistic thinking.

In the course we will elaborate, analyze and discuss a couple of case studies from different managerial perspectives

-          Globalization, localization, cost efficiency

-          Production 3.0./4.0/5.0

-          Ecologic framework of economic action

-          Busines ethics

-          Conditions of working/new work horizons/working environment 4.0

-          Potential of big data and big data analytics

-          Smart Cities & Innovation

-          Competition for talent

-          Corporate/economic crime

-          Information security/data protection

For each topic we will work on one or two case studies. Furthermore, we will open the course with some basic input on case study work.
