Students will get an overview of various learning and teaching theories and approaches to media education. Students will also learn to combine the theoretical approaches with pedagogical questions to design lessons based on e-learning. Furthermore students will define their roles as e-learning teachers and thereby develop pedagogical competence in selecting, designing and teaching e-learning units in various educational fields.

Besides getting to know learning and teaching theories related to e-learning, students will also be presented with a pedagogical design for e-learning. Students will see how they can design an e-learning course on the micro level (i.e. the unit) as well as on the macro level (i.e. a blended learning course) taking into consideration pedagogical findings from media education.

Lecture, discussions, case studies

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
