Learning Outcome:

The students will learn about public management instruments, that can be practicaly applied in public sector organizations. Various projects will be undertaken in conjunction with federal, province and local government organizations. Through these projects students will have the opportunity to gain experience in applying new public management principles.

Contents:

During the course, various elements of output based management will discussed. Specificaly the areas of accrual accounting, cost accounting, performance management, quality management, result oriented budgeting and reporting will be explained in detail. The students have the opportunity to develop management skills through the cooperation with government agencies.
