Students should get an introduction to operations management (procurement, production, sales) in service and production industries. Furthermore, students should understand the decision problems that occur when planning and controlling operations and should be familiar with methods and their software support.

This lecture gives an introduction to operations management (procurement, production, sales) in service and production industries. The most important planning problems and -methods in the course of planning and control of operations are discussed. Furthermore, the lecture gives an overview of linear and integer programming and briefly introduces simulation of manufacturing systems.
