The course will give an overview of questions, methods and epistemological interests of historic and pedagogic anthroplogy. This shall facilitate an immersion in the connection between space, body and movement.

The event introduces Immanuel Kant, the question of what man can do because of his knowledge of himself off: the anthropology is a pragmatic point of view. This question linked closely with the anthropology of education. According to Kant, the human person is only through education. - Today, however, human knowledge is increasingly the industrial production of the Constitution, performance and mood of the people. This applies to drugs in everyday life, neuro-enhancement, genetic engineering, reproductive and transplantation medicine. As Alterrnativen distinguished quasi in the back of the mechanization of man: it is a rediscovery of the body and a reassessment of bodily presence, although a diffuse but mass-distribution of meditation and exercises the body of practice.

Lecture, discussions in small groups and in plenum; students' lectures (including written summary) and other documented contributions.

Course with formative assessment, i.e., students are graded on the basis of written and/or oral tasks assigned regularly over the term.
