This seminar’s spotlight is focused on diverse methods of anthropology – whether based on cultural or scientific, on social or structural aspects - additionally including hidden or faded, paradoxical or refrained issues. Anthropological and educational points of view include considerations of economic dominance, striving for power and violence and security issues - as well phenomena of opposition and contradiction to the dominant principles of culture. The reward will be an experience beyond information.

“Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?                                                                                    Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?” (T.S. Eliot)

Course with formative assessment, i.e., students are graded on the basis of written and/or oral tasks assigned regularly over the term.

Attendance is compulsory.
