summer semester 2017 | Last update: 14.09.2023 | Place course on memo listStudents will acquire basic knowledge in the areas of Open Education and Open Educational Resources. Drawing on this knowledge, they will be able to critically analyze and autonomously develop further considerations in this field.
In the past decade manifold initiatives are aiming at opening up education on various levels using digital communications technologies and Creative Commons licenses as well as massive open online courses (MOOCs). Today, terms like Open Educational (OE) and Open Educational Resources (OER) are widely used as umbrella terms for free access to education and free content creation initiatives globally. Against this background, the seminar focuses on ongoing dynamics and transformational processes at the interfaces of OE- and OER concepts and initiatives.

Mandatory participation; short presentation and documentation of ongoing project work; final paper.
