Students gain the knowledge and skills to critically examine their own and other dissertations, to produce research results, evaluate and analyze new developments in the relevant literature and incorporate it in their own work in the context of a systematic understanding of the discipline.

Over the past few years there has been a change in migration research - from talking about integration towards inclusion. Migration is no longer a singular and peculiar action, it is now considered to be simply a particular form of mobility. Diversity no longer is due to migration only, it is the result of global mobility. This change of perspective is stems from a new social attitude which considers urbanity a vital part of a new social concept.

In this colloquium the basic ideas of this concept will be discussed and analysed as to their effects on research.

Ideas such as inclusion, society as a social format, neighbourhood, urban life, newcomers, mobility and diversity will be discussed.

Critical analysis of the issues, systematic analysis of studies and development of new ideas

Leading of a theoretical discussion and writing an independent analytical term paper a relevant topic
