The aim of the course is to provide skills for media analysis and create an awareness of how media represent and influence society.

This course is an introduction to the basics of media analysis, applied to print, film, television, and the new media. It provides a historical background to media development, introduces basic media terminology, and discusses genres and formats. The focus of the course will be on applied media analysis and media literacy.
