This course focuses on improving students’ skills in translating texts from the field of law.
During the lecture we will analyse legal texts, compare legal systems, discuss the legal background, incorporate translation theories into translation strategies, and produce legal translations that meet the required quality standards.
Students will prepare specific sections of the texts and present their translations. Translation-related problems will be discussed in class.
Two written exams, vocabulary tests, presentations or written assignment, glossaries, active participation in discussions; attendance.

Successful completion of B. A.
