Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture.
The main works of Jan Vermeer’s oeuvre should be presented, whereby the topics of the presentations should on the one hand make the development of the painter’s style transparent and on the other hand be aimed at an analysis of the iconographical tasks in the context of Dutch art of the 17th century.
Presentations and discussions, written work.
This course is assessed via continuous assessment and attendance is compulsory.
