Practice of scholarly working methods, the use of secondary literature and training of skills allowing to present and to discuss the newly-acquired knowledge and related problems in oral and written form.

This class will cover political, economic and social aspects of Iran’s history in the 19th and 20th century. Considering Iran’s particular geo-political situation, special emphasis will also be put on Iran’s foreign relations.

Oral presentation and handout, paper, discussions, exercises, teacher's lecture.

Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, active participation in discussions, oral presentation and handout, paper (10 pages).

 

Guided research of selected literature will be part of the required tasks.

 

Due to substantial differences in the allocation of ECTS-Credits in various curricula (teacher training programs/specialized degree programs), the requirements for this course vary. Information will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course.
