Intercultural communicative competences (ICC) is seen as one of the main objectives of foreign language teaching. However, in differentiation of the cognitive, affective and pragmatic level, its implementation and assessment in ELT often poses challenges for researchers and teachers. In this context we will look at different concepts of cultural learning and how these can be applied to ELT. We will use various resources to explore how ICC can successfully be developed.
