Main Features of the Greek and Roman History

The students acquire basic skills of social history focused on Greek and Roman antiquity. The students will become acquainted with key issues and debates of this scholarly field.
The course offers an overview of key issues and terms which are necessary for writing social history. Methodical challenges and living causes will be discussed.
Lecture with possibility of discussion.
Test at the end of the course.
Literature will be provided at the FB Atrium.
Due to substantial differences in the allocation of ECTS-Credits in various curricula (BA Classica et Orientalia 2009 and BA Classica et Orientalia 2015), the requirements for this course vary. Information will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course.
