The students will acquire the skills needed to evaluate the course and certain aspects of ancient history from the viewpoint of historical migration research.

 

The lecture addresses the question, by which particular forms of migration each epoch of ancient history has been shaped. Selected examples from the ancient world will show which kind of administrative, social and legal developments can be linked to migration phenomena.
