Knowledge of basic concepts of literary theory and methodology; competence in the application of literary theories for the analysis of literary texts; examples: »Das Erdbeben in Chili« (Heinrich von Kleist) and »Das Urteil« (Franz Kafka).

Reading and reflection of theoretical texts (literary theory, theory of culture); sociopolitical contextualization of literary and cultural theory.

Lecture; (oral) presentations; discussion.

(Oral) presentation; seminar paper (10 pages).
