Acquisition of competences and a critical attitude in dealing with historical sources and representations of the History of Modern times as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral and written form.

Reading and interpreting of classical sources (as well as artefacts, noise and odour sources) and representations of the History of Central Europe from about 1500 to 1650; identification of the scholarly formulation of questions in history, historical representation and narratives; reading and evaluation of historiographical texts and analysis of their suitability as historical sources.

 

Preparatory phase, joint interpretation of source texts with presentations; OLAT.

Continuous participation, short presentations with discussions and handout; small written exam.

 

Will be provided in the course. Course reserve collection
