Familiarity with new approaches in modern times and neighboring fields as well as with recent theoretical discussions

 We will analyse the work of Isaiah Berlin (1909-1997), one of the most brilliant thinker of intellectual history between 1960 and 1990 in the anglo-saxon world. Focussing on some of his influential essays, we will discuss his methods and extraordinary ways of interpretation.
