Basics in Wave- and Fourieroptics and their adaption in the fields of holography, interfometry and diffractive optics

Coherence, wavepropagation, classical holography, digital holography, white light holograms, volume holograms, recording and reconstruction techniques, calculation of holograms (kinoforms), interferogram recording and -analyzing, shearography, speckle techniques, methods of calculation for diffractive optics, diffraction efficiency, dispersion, etc...

Oral exam

Course material will be provided in pdf form.

Basic knowledge about optical component (lenses, waveplates etc.), complex representation of light fields, photon energy, momentum etc.

Mainly suited for Master students, who want to graduate in the field of optics, e.g at our Institute for Biomedical Physics.
