field-trip to southern italy (sicily and eolian islands) to study recent and sub-recent volcanism

visit to mount etna and the eolian islands (lipari, vulcano, stromboli); field studies of various phenomena of volcanic activity (e.g. lava flows, fumaroles and hot springs, pyroclastic deposits, strombolian activity)

continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants)

course examination according to §7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
