Students acquire knowledge of the most important substances and fundamental principles of inorganic chemistry. They are able to implement inorganic substances in the fields of environment and technology.

Introduction to main group chemistry (groups 1-2 and 13-18); description, properties and reactivities of s-block and p-block elements; importance of main group chemistry with regard to fundamental research and industrial processes based on critical discussions of ecological and toxicological connections.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
