The students acquire basic knowledge of the philosophy of educational science and develop corresponding argumentative skills.

Given the complexity of the overviews, the current constitution of education studies is often characterized as pluralistic.    

Thus, orienting oneself in the jungle of concepts and approaches has become more difficult, but not impossible. Starting from some definitions, we deal with a variety of educational scientific and methodological conceptions, as well as some basic possibilities for making distinctions (e.g. scientific theories and philosophy of science).

The course includes discussion and net-based study elements (reflection tasks, online discussion forum). The online parts of the course are maintained by Nina Kemereit. Additionally, the involvement in accompanying reading groups is recommended.

Written exam (Eexam). The students are encouraged to make use of the literature in OLAT.
