Learning Outcome:

Students know the concepts of the most important psychoanalytical theoreticians and are able to apply them.

Contents:

The creation and grounding of psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud extended human self-awareness by the dimension of the unconsciousness. Freud assumed that a psychoanlytical based education could change social institutions like family and school. In this lecture we deal with the conception of psychoanalysis, its historical context, the work of the pioneers Melanie Klein, Jacques Lacan, Donald W. Winnicott, Wilfred R. Bion, Peter Fonagy and others.

Lecture, video clips, discussion.
